The Jharkhand Academic Council has decided to prompt the students of class 5 to 7 without them appearing for the examination. The decision was made in light of the COVID-19 spread in the country. The academic council has however decided to conduct a benchmarking test for the students once the classes resume. While speaking to the media, the Principal Secretary of School Education and Literacy Department AP Singh said that with the current situation of schools the board has decided to prompt the students from classes 5 to 7 without conducting an exam. He, however, added that the board will conduct benchmarking tests for the students once the classes commence for the students. The exams were scheduled to be conducted on March 31, 2020.
